She studied creative writing and drawing at the Pratt Institute and shortly after founded <a title="Small Anchor" href="http://www.smallanchorpress.com" target="_blank">Small Anchor Press</a>. After living abroad in China where she taught English, produced and directed <a title="Lonely Christopher " href="http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/4094832.Lonely_Christopher" target="_blank">Lonely Christopher</a>’s internationally controversial <em>Gay Plays</em>, and explored the most remote regions of Tibet’s Kham, she moved back to New York City to pursue further studies at NYU.
